Hi

Configure them the same as TX100's. There is a pic on WKPP.org I think. Have the first stages horizontal with the 'top' facing outwards.

On the LH post use the inside LP for the long hose, the outer for the inflator, although both of these run behind the wing. (They should both be standard size ports)

On the RH post you can just have the backup reg on the standard port, the gauge on the HP port.

Use a seperate drysuit inflation system, either strapped to the tanks or on the waste band. This negates the whole crappy mess with the non standard LP port.

Hope that helps

Andy

I do mine like Woz. You'll be needing some blanking plugs and a good hour with a set of decent spanners - connecting, stratching your head, disconnecting more head scratching. You get the gist.

To save you the hassle I'll swap my DSTs for your ATXs. I don't use a twinset nor am I ever likely to so I won't have your routing problems

Yes I know DS4s are the "proper" first stages to use, but I don't have any.

Personally I think I'd be tempted to reverse the 1st stages so that they face inwards rather than outwards - ie. opposite direction to the WKPP images so that the rubber membrane at the base of the 1st stages face inwards. My concern is that they might hamper reaching the left and right posts whereas they're not going to get in the way quite so much if they're reversed. Just my 5 cents worth...

That's how I have mine that runs of the LH post. I have a DST on my RH post so no routing problems.

In fact, looking back, I reckon an ATX50 on a DS4 or DST is far better for twinsetting.

hehe. Funnily enough, that's exactly what I use - 2 x DS4s with ATX50s...

My only minor gripe with the DS4 is the position of the HP port on the left post which results in the HP hose clamping the top of your wing. Very annoying. If Apeks ever redesign the DS4, the only improvement I'd like to see is that they move the HP port around so that it's at an angle of *at least* 90 degrees opposite the DIN connection. I think the best 1st stages I've ever seen in terms of ease of hose routing is <shock horror> those made my Poseidon - now there's a company that thinks beyond the mass market!

BTW - the DST is a nice 1st stage too but I tend to use them purely for stage and deco bottles. As a stage bottle reg, they're one of the best!!!!!
