I use a boltsnap or double ender on each side . This will make it fit and carry like a stage. Works fine even in combination with an alu80.

Personally I use the same attatchment as I use on the rear of my light head - ie. a loop of bungee attatched to the camera tray that I then use to connect a double ended bold snap which I clip off to my right shoulder D-ring. I also have a small bolt snap on the camera enclosure that I can use as a 'backup' should the loop fail (which is unlikely). When not in use, this is also clipped off to the bungee loop so that it doesn't pose a line trap risk - it also acts as a way of securing the camera should the tripod mount bolt fail, causing the camera to separate from the tray. Hope this helps...

An short line to a D-ring on my upper chest with a clip half way up and a plastic spring joining the two halves.

For most purposes it is usable without undoing the clip but if I want to do anything fancy I can let it free. The line, clipped up, is just long enough to clasp to my chest for a stride entry.

(edit)
Oops. Just realised it's a DIR thread. I'm probably way out of line. Ignore me.

What sort of camera set up are you using Marty? Not sure if it makes a difference, but I only play at this underwater photo lark so I've just got a little Fuji F11 in it's housing. With a small boltsnap threaded onto the lanyard it's ever so slightly positive and I clip it off to my left shoulder d-ring to get in/out and my crotch d-ring if I'm not using it while diving. On the crotch d-ring it then just floats out of the way between my legs.

Just using a Fuji F810 nothing fancy.

Nigel - I forgive you, I've gleaned a lot of info from your web site and rants which I have found usefull so one little slip is ok

Colin - Thanks for the suggestion but what are we going to do pass it round in a three till we all lose the will to live or all the gas? - besides I haven't got a team and therefore I'd have to swim round in circles looking for someone to hand off to, muttering "please be my friend" through the reg, which would ultimately end up with me disapearing up my own arse - not a pretty sight.
I find a particular theme to your replies to threads and whilst I fully support your right to your own opinions, can I just say you come across as a bit of a cock sometimes - although I'm sure that's intentional as a wind up

If you're just using a compact point and shoot camera with no external lens or strobes, I'd personally attatch a small bolt snap to the enclosure then clip it off inside your right thigh cargo pocket - that's what I used to do until my camera got a little bit too big for that!

Personally, I found Colin's comment to be quite amusing. But then I also have a team. I have a team for two reasons I guess. Firstly, this is the DIR forum, so people replying to threads in here tend to be DIR. Secondly, I don't go round calling people cocks.

Oh, and I get another team member to carry the camera. He just stage slings it as well.

infact from memeory he gets treated the same with or without it..
that would be my DIR answer...
