Space available on Tech 2 May 4th-8th 2007, Richard Lundgren

Hi

One of the guys has unfortunately had to drop out of the Tech 2 course we are taking with Richard Lundgren in May down in Plymouth, so if you are wanting a spot, it might be yours.

All of the hard work has been done by Brian at Aquanauts, and it is really just a case of you turning up like a rock star and doing the course. The accommodation is sorted, gas is sorted, venues and boats are all sorted. It is a five day course meeting up in Plymouth the evening of the 3rd and then taking the course which should finish on 8th.

The only downside is that your buddies will be Mark and myself

No real idea of cost, but it is $1500 for Richard plus I guess his expenses shared between us, (we were promised he would only eat weetabix for the entire week )and your own diving costs (4 gas dives). You will also need two sets of twin 12's and 6 stage bottles, 2 x AL80, 2 x AL7, and 2 x AL40, although I am sure Brian will be happy to sell you some if you don't have it all.

It is short notice, but it is open to anyone with a Tech 1 ticket, and according to the standards 'Must have a minimum of twenty-five (25) dives beyond Technical Diver Level 1 qualification', which does not mean 'twenty five Tech 1 level dives' so there should be quite a few people who could take this up if they so wished.

Hi

Unfortunately it now seems that Mark has dropped out as well, so unless anyone lets me know within the next few days then (yet another) tech 2 course will be cancelled.

Bummer Andy. Looks like we might have to reschedule our Tech 1 re-eval dates then as Richard was coming up from Plymouth following your Tech 2 to do our T1 re-evals.

Good luck Andy.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Hi

He will still be coming over, as there is a Tech1 course the following week, so I think you will be OK.

No, the T1 you mentioned above (after your T2) is our re-evals from 10-11 May, along wth Al and Frases T2 re-evals.

Good luck finding someone. You could try posting on Quest too, there might be some takers. I know that Clare has posted on DIRx as a follow up to AndrewB's post so that option is covered.

The T1 course is actually the week before, 27 April to 1st May (at least I hope it is as that's the holiday I've booked )

Unfortunately also with a space free.

Hi

Fiona has just reminded me that this should be updated. The course is going ahead now with myself and Andy Bryson and starts Friday, down in Plymouth. Having not taken a GUE course since Summer 2005 it will be interesting to see whether I am still up to scratch. I'll let you know how it goes.

Andy
