It's the GUE Fundamentals course that introduces you to DIR and covers the core skills, principles and concepts. The fundamentals if you will

Aha! Thanks Neil . I'd seen the term being used but not really understood what it referred to.

Congrats on the Rec Pass Gareth. I know I can speak for both Gary and myself on that and that we were sorry not to be able to catch up after the debriefs.

Gary (DorsetDiver) and I both managed to get tech passes which I know I am pleased if a bit surprised at.

Thanks to Clare and Al for the course, and to Mike for skippering for us on Tuesday.

I am sure there will be pictures of the pony to come...

It was an up and down few days. Particularly at Swanage for various reasons. I've come away from the course with what I wanted. Not the result, but the work done on my skills and the understanding on somethings that can only really come from doing the course.

Glad you guys got a lot out of it - you certainly worked at it. Clare's got the camera with the stills so I can't post any pics - the gas analysis and the pony is a classic photo

Hope to see you all again soon.

Cheers
Al
