I think you misunderstood me. I am not talking about having completed a BSAC trimix course and being asked to pay for the c-card. (though, AFAIK, the BSAC mixed gas courses are only available through commercial operators, hence one would be paying course fees. I could be wrong about this, though)
I have paid for trimix training with GUE, have passed Tech 1 and hold a GUE Tech 1 c-card. If I want to be allowed to dive trimix "officially" on a BSAC Branch dive on the strength of this GUE ticket, I am supposed to "register" this qualification with the HQ and pay the BSAC money. The BSAC did not provide any of my trimix training, nor a c-card, but want money from me before "allowing" me to use it (I believe I might get a sticky label to go in my QRB, though) It would be the same if I wanted to use a TDI, IANTD or PSA trimix ticket on a BSAC Branch dive.
