On an more serious note, apart from profanities, is there list of 'banned' words, or is it a 'gentlemen's agreement'?

Bit like the luvvies and the Scottish Play, they get a bit upset for reasons known only to themselves. They don't even like jokes about it.

Maybe we could find a PC alternative?
Rule #1. Don't dive with MacBeth

I once read that in the US, that term means what we in the UK may call, ahem, "pleasing oneself" (in the rude sense - not as in the 'do what you want' sense). If so, what did they think of the sitcom "Dif'rent [banned term]"?

So in fact the dive in Stoney on Sunday with Digger's P1SS home-built rebreather violated rules 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 all at the same time.

Wow. Good going Digs.

Thanks for the list frogman. All pretty sensible - and one even shows a sense of humour! Is this allowed?

I'd always add rule #0 at the top of this list

personally the S' word never bothered me to much but on occasions DIR does, mostly when followed by condascending statements from over the pond as many people have said before do it right immplies that everyone else does it wrong.

Are you guys happy to go with that or should another acronym be considered I remember ages ago someone suggesting a GUE forum?

Safe diving,
Steve.
