Red face Joining GUE - Is it worth it?

Just been having a pootle about on the GUE website and was wondering if anyone is a member of GUE, and if yes, is it worth it? It is something i may consider in the future, as i am currently not a member of any diving organisation other than IANTD with whom i have no intention of doing any more training.

If you join as a Silver member, you get the magazine every quarter, and access to the Quest email list. Bronze gives you web access to the magazine, and the email list too.

I like the magazine. It's free of adverts, and directly focussed on diving and DIR relevant issues. I obviously have to be a member to maintain instructor status, but before that, the subs were worth it for the mag.

I can show you the magazines next time I see you.

Rich

Money wise, it is comparable to BSAC, and with no club fees, is a lot cheaper, but do they bung a bit more on top of the subs to cover being in the UK?

Hi

I'm a bronze member. The magazines quite good, and the list is alright but theres a lot of crap inbetween the occasional decent post. Archives are good fun though

I've thought about the Gold membership to get a place on some of the projects but each time I have never heard of them happening.

Andy
