DIR weekend Stoney Cove - workshops

OK folks, you were promised workshops during this weekend - it will take a while to put them all up on the boards but keep a look out here for when the links go live.

These are only ideas... if there is large demand for one thing and no demand for something else we can rethink... it's your Gig.

Throughout the weekend: Pre arranged dives...

Saturday

9:30 am Introduction to DIR workshop (Rich Walker) - now full

11:30 am Line Laying Workshop (Andy Carroll/Bob Cooper) Both full

1:30 pm Fundamentals Re-evaluation (Rich Walker)

3:00 Scooter Workshop (Bob Cooper and/or MW)

Sunday

9:30 am Introduction to DIR workshop (Rich Walker)

9:30 am DSMB deployment (Andy Carroll)

11:30 Scooter Workshop (Bob Cooper/MW)

11:30 Introduction to Tech 1 (Andy Kerslake)

1:30 pm Line Laying (Rich Walker)

1:30pm Stage use, rigging. deployment, restowing etc. (Andy Kerslake)

I will keep this first post up to date - it would assist if you refrained from posting questions about individual workshops on it but if you have any special requests (for example if you know your DSMB deployment sucks and want to work on it) do post and I'll try to find someone to dive with you over the course of the weekend and give you some help.

If enough people want the same thing we'll put together a workshop.

OK - Phill has offered me an Ali 40 for raffle at the gig - in aid of the DDRC.

You will be hit for tickets during the day and at the dinner (I'll find someone to threaten you with violence if you don't pay up). There will soon be a link where you can buy tickets on the Niknaks site in advance of the day which I will post here - you don't need to be DIR to join in - and an Ali 40 will make a handsome addition to your dive kit.

Thanks Phill

Can I have a volunteer to flog the tickets on the Saturday and at the dinner please - someone big who can threaten people with violence would be good

I'll flog the raffle tickets Clare if you don't get another volunteer. My G/F Jane might be able to help out selling some Saturday night.

I've run out of ideas for workshops... Andy Kerslake has offered to do what we want... do people want a theroy session (minium gas or deco) or is there anything else you feel would be helpful...

Clare
