Question Dive Insurance? Which/where?

Hi all,

Hope this is the correct part of the forum to post my question.

I am a recreational diver (just in the process of qualifying) and would like to know about Divers insurance, kit expenses cover for injuries etc.

MY instructor suggested DAN, just had a look and it seems it is American, are there any good UK insurance covers for diving. Anyidea what sort of money is generally paid for insurance?

Thanks

Did you look at https://www.daneurope.org/eng/english.htm

Or try http://www.dive-master.co.uk/

Personally, I use DAN.

Hi Darren,

Personally, I always use Divemaster Insurance for both kit and diving cover when diving abroad. The diving cover costs about £16 for 9 days and they will give a quote for your kit if you send them a list of what you want to insure. I have my camera gear insured with them in addition to my normal dive gear and the camera is insured against flooding.

Halifax home insurance.

Excellent!

Full cover for any loss of your diving equipment just ask for it to be added on to your home contents.

Problem free claims procedure also.

P.S. A Clive Cussler fan also, welcome to YD.
