DIR YD's gig photos

Hi all...

I have managed to take some pictures at this weekend DIR getaround at Stoney Cove.

I have posted them at my personal photo website, so everybody (YD or no-YD) can see.

If any of you guys want to take a look, just go at http://daniel.videopic.net and click on the "GUE YD's GIG - Stoney Cove Getaround!" link.

I hope you all like it.

Cheers!

Daniel

PS - Jonathan, please post the underwater pics you've taken!!! )

Great Pics, although there seems to be a lot of alcohol kicking around on a DIR Gig. Guess it all belonged to the non DIR guests - honest!

It's not actually alcohol - it's called deco juice. Only served in the finest establishments

Nice Pics Daniel and I enjoyed diving with you.

I meant to ask you ... were you singing on our last dive? If not I'd like to report hearing Humpback Whales near the Cessna.

Phil

Cool

Hi All,

Before I forget: THANK YOU ALL FOR THE MOST ENJOYABLE WEEKEND I HAD IN UK SO FAR!!!!!

You people are all very nice and friendly. I will keep these pictures as a memo of a wonderful time, and I hope I can meet with you around in other dives.

By the way, DIR-UK has been doing an amazing job here. You guys not only know how to dive, but embrace the activity as a lifestyle and constantly improve yourselves. It is clear that the level you are is above most of the divers around the world. I would go underwater with you anytime. No exceptions.

On the other hand I felt quite ashamed of my skills as I have not been practicing too much. Things can get complicated when you move from one country to another, and it can get worse when you have to dive in single AL80s because you have to teach opw students.

No excuses though... it will be fun to get fit again in doubles and get myself ready again to dive Scapa flow next year. Especially when I can get motivated by competent and dedicated people live yourselves.

Anyway, thank you all so much. I hope to see you again soon.

Daniel

PS - Yeah Phil ... I was singing.. I usually do that when I'm relaxed.. I know I don't sing too well, but calling me a "Humpback Whale" was mean... I hope I still can get dive buddies after that

Hope to see you at some stage - perhaps when you've fixed your suit

Your wish is my command...part 1

Some very unimpressive photos (apart from the ones taken by Al and Neil!)

The back of the heli almost in focus!

Little Pete (mit dem twins)

Me about to go down

And Neil too

Me not particularly horizontal

And again

Neil in action

Neil in Twins

Ah the memories...(and you've got to feel sorry for that box!)

Caption Competition anyone?

Diane I think?

Rick shows what it should look like!

Thanks everyone for your help/support and cheers for a cool weekend. It was great to put names to faces and to hook up again with those I'd met before. Looking forward to next years already.

Cheers

Jonathan
