Talking Another gear question

OK.....so I have the twins now, and the jetfins, and the wing etc.....Does anyone know where I can get a better deal than the Apeks package shown here:

http://www.dirdirect.com/astro/Twin_...ystems3276.htm

I am looking to get these as they are what I think will be the best bang for my buck, but after a fruitless night of googling, all I seem to be finding is setups that I would have to compile, and at greater cost.

Help, as always, appreciated!!!

PS: please help the Iraqi dive cops: http://www.yorkshire-divers.co.uk/fo...ad.php?t=27377

That looks like a good price for that setup. Might be worth trying Go-Dive for a price. They don't do the same package but they do stock the bits though the long hose is 2m so about 6" shorter than the DIR Direct one.

Yeah.....it looked good to me too. I have emailed Phil of nik naks to see if he has a contact or two up his shiny sleeves as well.

I think that I might go for the 6' hose though......

As for Go dive.......well. I have heard so much bad press about their after care, that I am not going to risk alot of money just so I can potentially have a row afterwards. If I end up paying a little more for that right, then so be it.

Thanks for the tips though guys!

1) various people sell apeks on here - for instance, try mark powell or one of the many instructors too

2) before you buy - check that 6' is long enough for you - i don't know your body shape (you might be long in the torso) - you might need the extra length of 2m or 7'

3) if you can get the regs from go-dive cheaper - don't worry about after sales, there are enough places who can service / look after the kit in the future (although personally, I wouldn't use them becos they're **** and i prefer to support my LDS etc)

We are Apeks dealers and specialise in set ups for tech diving.

For a TX50 twinset set up with DS4s 2m hose and hp guage we can do it for £399.

Cheers for the help guys. I got a sweet deal from Mark Powell: All I needed for £357!!! (already had the SPG and took a TX40 instead of 2 TX50's)

Nice and easy to do business with, and delivered to my door no less. God bless the internet. I think the 2m hose works out about 6'5" which I think will more than accomodate me and my needs. It's still bloody long though!!

Well in there Jay! A few dives and you won't even notice how big it is - steady girls! Well until you through the salvo in the mix - and then things get very confusing!

I've found it's actually a little easier to route a 2.13m (7ft) than a straight 2m.
