| This all is so frustrating. As far as I know, I've signed every post on YD as Anthony. I have been "true" on every list or board I've ever posted on. My real, everyday email address is in my profile. Earlier this morning, I had a PM from Andy accusing me of being burstdisk. I am not burstdisk, I don't know who burstdisk is, and I've never posted anonymously to any board, ever. And that's my frustration. No matter how much I've tried to convince Andy that I'm in Gainesville, not High Springs, and using cox.net, not alltel.net, he holds on to the idea that because I registered from an alltel.net address that I'm posting as burstdisk. Hate to tell you, but the Halcyon factory has non-static IP. High Springs is a small town, and alltel has a limited pool of dynamic IP addresses to spread around. Anyone dialing in through alltel.net in High Springs could have had the same IP as I used when I registered for YD last year, and there are a lot of divers in High Springs know know people who work for Halcyon dealers all over the world. No telling who forwarded my note to the Halcyon dealers to whom in the area. Bad coincidence for me, I guess, but I'd hope people would have known me from the 8 years of running quest and from postings on other boards to realize that I'm not the person Andy thinks I am. best, Anthony Rue Last edited by true : 22-12-05 at 03:29 PM. |

Now, has anybody got any idea where this farce is going? I don't really know what its like in the states but here in the UK we prefer 'proof' and hard facts, not speculation and hearsay. Andy Last edited by And : 22-12-05 at 03:42 PM. |

| My point BEING ........ posted PUBLICLY Anthony , not by pm which as you know should not be brought to public forum. IMO you were out of order to bring this to the forum as this was by pm between you and And. Not nice Anthony, not nice at all. Quote:

| http://www.halcyon.net/dealers/europe.shtml scroll down to Ireland omegasac@eircom.net Thats me. Was me. Impartial, no. Well spotted. I was treated much in the same way as Barry without the legal shit. After GAS UK I was the first dealer in British Isles until foolishly I encouraged Izzy to sell Halcyon. Liisa with Halcyons consent then took over Ireland from me. So impartial , absolutely not. But from my experience I make the judgement. Now it seems to me that Halcyon have to swallow some of the medicine they dished out and they DO NOT like it. I have not posted on any of this since it started earlier this year. BTW I`m not alone in the shafting department, there were other dealers got the same treatment. I built up the brand here in Ireland and got a lovely thank you for it. Honour, loyalty, decency...not in the Halcyon handbook of business AFAIK. Izzys post http://www.yorkshire-divers.co.uk/fo...944#post356944 Quote:

| Can't we just leave this until there are some hard facts to work with... this is all just speculation until the final day in court, and reputations and images could be easily damaged on all sides. My vote is to lock this thread too. Brian

I guarantee you that I'm the only person on this board (besides Barry) who was in courtroom 3D of the 9th District Court last wednesday. In the criminal prosecution of the State of Florida vs. Barry Miller, I saw Barry stand before Judge Roundtree and enter guilty pleas on two very serious felony theft charges. You can spin it any way you want, but it doesn't change the facts. Barry is at the mercy of the court, and come sentencing day next month the judge can use the plea agreement offered by the DA as and end in itself or as a starting point of a sentence that can range up to 35 years and an additional $15000US fine in addition to restitution to the victim. I'm fairly certain that he won't be hit with the maximum, but it illustrates the seriousness of the crimes committed. It isn't a case of Halcyon "going after" anyone-- it is a criminal and not a civil case, prosecuted by the State of Florida with no input from Halcyon. Whatever the sentence, Miller has been formally adjudicated guilty of two felony counts. He'll never be able to erase that from his record. I worked with the side by side with Barry for almost seven years, so I'll let you guess as to my own disappointment at his choice to turn to felony to resolve any issues he might have had with the company. A man’s character is his fate, says Heraclitus, and Barry's fate is now to be determined by a judge looking at a pair of very serious felony counts. It's unfortunate that I once registered for YD while at my High Springs office, because it has oppened up the possibility of mis-apprehension by the hard working administrators of this site. I hope that the bluster about who posted the note that I sent to the Halcyon dealers informing them of this very serious issue doesn't obscure the facts of the case. I can assure you that I will not post to YD again until after the sentencing. Best, Anthony Last edited by true : 22-12-05 at 04:29 PM. |

| [quote=true]Jack, I'm curious... do you happen to have a financial stake in spinning this story in Barry's favor and in demonizing Halcyon? [quote] Yes, I sold 2 dive lights from Salvo this year. Its not spin Anthony, what I`ve posted re myself and Halcyon is fact (business it was called) I`m more annoyed with Halcyon from my own perspective, see my previous post. | Heraclitus also said "Eyes and ears are bad witnesses to men if they have souls that understand not their language" and my particular favourite "Let us not conjecture at random about the greatest things" |
