Reel storage?

OK guys, where do you stow your reels (pathfinders and similar) when you're not using them? Hip D-ring? Somewhere else? Is there a party line on where it should be?

Is there a photo showing where one is located on you, so I can see how it fits?

Only other question is whether there is ever need to carry more than one reel? If you need one take 2 and all that? I suppose you've got one from another team member, but just wondered for some dives if it were necessary whether both would be in the same place or somewhere else?

Just trying to get some ideas.

Thanks.

Digs.

Id say you need a yellow one for out of gas signal as well as a Orange one, and a spare orange one on your pocket.

But what do I know. !!

Is there a photo anywhere of this in the water? My reel isn't gogin to work too well there I don't think, and I have legs on the KISS which will prevent that from working. Is that where it's supposed to go?

Sorry G man, I mean for laying line. This lot don't use them for SMBs, they use spools.

I've got 2 reds and a yellow same as most, but they're in pockets separate to the reels.

TBH I dont fancy having a pathfinder dangling between my legs for the whole dive. How far up should your butt ring be?

How do you know if it's laying line behind you if it's attatched to your ass? If a little bit gets caught and starts laying line, you're the last guy through, with no friction on the line couldn't you end up laying another line to follow? Actually, that would be quite convnient for big jumps...

Ahh i see. My understanding is that you hold it in your left hand (below the torch) when laying line.

but that could, of course, be bolox.
