Question Stage Rigging + Argon cyl

Can anyone suggest the best way to configure gear set up for this.

DIR say left with cannister light on right hip.

DIR with 2x stage....Same set up.

What about if you have an Argon cylinder as well? Read on a website that you would put the Argon on the left, same as cannister light thats on the right to balance it all up.

Would this not get in the way of the 2x stages?
Is it best to put one stage on each side in this case?
Can Argon be rigged somewhere else?

I would jump over to http://www.direxplorers.com and have a look through some of the articles there. I know for definite there are some concerning argon mounting, also how to have more than one stage mounted.

Regards

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

There are two "DIR" ways to mount an argon bottle, "cave" and "wreck". Neither gets in the way of your stages.

A wreck mount puts the argon bottle in the LHS waist band, behind the D-ring. It's held snug against the backplate by a bungie. A cave mounted argon bottle is mounted on the left cylinder using straps.

For what it's worth, I use a small 1l argon bottle and wreck mount it, but several of my buddies use cave mount for open water dives.

For both, the stages really are not an issue.

Does this make anything any clearer? Probably not, but it's the best I can do.

Regards,

Mark

- Surprisingly the Argon cylinder does get in the way of the stages, even if mounted on the backplate. You don't even notice it's there.

Is it best to put one stage on each side in this case?
- there are arguments for putting a stage on each side but in my view the argon cylinder placement is not a factor in deciding to go for one either side or both on the same side.

Can Argon be rigged somewhere else?
- On the belt, fixed to the cylinder using a pony clamp or simillar, butt mounted
