| Imported post Tom Don't know about size, but don't buy one. Just go into a bike shop and ask for one they have thrown away on a repair job. Thats what I did. The size did not appear to matter. Adrian

| Imported post Thanks Adrian - to be honest though I'm quite happy to spend a couple of quid to avoid the ordeal of explaining why I want an old innertube! If the size doesn't matter I'll just pick one at random then.

| Imported post As Adrian says, don't buy them! I went to a tyre replacement place (like Kwikfit) and they were only too happy to let me help myself. I ended up with a couple of old motorbike inner tubes which were fine. |

| Imported post The last time I got a new one for my mountain bike (which incidently is now cut up and decortating my dive kit) I asked for a mountain bike inner and got one without too much hassle. O.K, Ruler out......... 40mm diameter Having just rigged up a harness I can say that having tubing any smaller would be a real PITA as it is tight enough as it is. Good luck! | Imported post Tom, PM me your address and I'll stick a manky old MTB innertube in the post. It'll have plenty of patches on it, frankly I think it's time I bought some new ones. dan. |

| Imported post Cheers people - thanks for the offer Dan but I'm now sorted after popping into a bike shop on the way to work. 45mm, biggest they had. If that doesn't work, there's a KwikFit about 100 yards up the road and IIRC they've got a skip...

| Imported post the great thing about inner tube - especially heavy duty stuff - is that it is also great for cutting up to use as patches for when you hole your dry suit. Also use it as a cheap alternative to bungy for stuff such as holding fold-up flags to your tanks. I am not proud - often found rooting around the bins at Kwik Fit. Simon

You're not eating out of bins and skips again, are you? I'm sure we could have a YD whip-round for tea and a slice for ya mate!
