Marianne, with respect, isn't this a trip for people to see what all the fuss regarding DIR is all about, and see a few of the drills in action. Haven't you been diving a la DIR for ages?

Why do you need safety divers for an intro day? Surely people just turn up, agree buddies and go for a dive.

People shouldn't be put off days like this thinking it's all about stress. Surely it's about just going diving and seeing how people dive differently and what DIR approach is about?

Ok, I'll risk it - I've been 'DIR curious' for a while. Put me down as number 12 then - Gildy is perfect for me

Cheers, Chris

Doesn't look like a fun, stress free day anymore which is what I was kinda hoping for.

I've incorporated a lot of the ethos into my way of diving but I would still like learn one or two things. Does this count me out also?

Another time.

I see no reason why it has to be stressful. PM Mal with what you want out of the day and he'll ensure it gets covered. Everyone had a good laugh at the weekend we did, and the only people who were put under any stress were those who wanted to be

There was no stress induced in our sessions Ian. If there was any, it would have been self inflicted. I had a lot of fun.
