regs and hoses

on a more serious note, unusual for me I know

there have been several threads talking about the way hoses are bent on twinsets. This is because we are trying to follow the DIR style of all being the same. Regs have changed since the hose routing was set in stone by the big names in DIR. Has anyone tried to find a more hose friendly solution. I just thought maybe there is trick we are all missing by blindly following an older system.
No this is not an attack at DIR but a real question.

I think my new Mk25 hose routing is pretty good with no bendy hoses. You should get rid of the DS4's David

I found that Cyclones worked very well with no kinking or twisting of hoses. On the left post I had SPG ,suit feed , and back up reg all coming under left arm. On right post primary reg on long hose ( hose fed under bungy on red OMS wing)wing inflation hose this crossed my back and went under left arm. All hoses faced down as they left the first stagesI
The back up reg coming under the arm is not the most comfortable routing but it kept the hose tucked in and tidy if I needed it there was room to get my arm out from under the hose while breathing from it.

To be fair, Poseidon first stages offer perhaps the best hose routing on the market - second only to the Scubapro MK25. Although they look very similar to the Apeks DS4, the Poseidon first stages have the high pressure port in a much better position (ie. turned further around towards the diver) that, consequently, doesn't put anywhere near as much stress on the high pressure hose...
