Finning backwards

I feel myself drawn to the "Dark side" & hopefully will take my Fundies in the spring. I have been working on my skills but I'm having a nightmare trying to fin backwards. I don't actually move anywhere, my trim goes all over the place & I cramp up almost straight away.
Does anyone know of a resource where I can view a video of this skill???

It may not be your technique, might be your fins. Most people I know with Force Fins find it relatively easy.

Sparks,
A word of advice - don't bother practicing this on your own. It's best learned on the course honestly The instructors have a really good way of teaching it.

The videos on the web show divers moving backwards but what they don't do is explain how to do it.

Hehe - I'd second that. Remember that the point of the instructor is to teach you the content of the course, if you turn up having done it all they'll have nothing to do

...or worse case you won't have learnt it effectively and you'll need to try to "unlearn" the way you're doing it to learn it the way the instructors are trying to teach it.

But he won't be using force fins if he is doing fundies

It's less embarrassing now - practicing is done in the pool.

Garf had me squirming, face down on the floor at Wraysbury, working me from behind like a puppet............

And then he helped me with my back finning.
