When you ever make a proper dive plan, let me see it .I must admit, that I find it odd that you have been packing and planning our forthcoming trip since October, but can't seem to agree a turn pressure. xx

| The DIR/GUE lot seem much bigger than they are, certianly on the Interweb. But ask your average Joe Diver if they've heard of DIR and most will say "no". If you chat to JJ/Casey you'll find out about the background behind it and it makes alot of sense. When you are pouring a load of time and money into pushing caves and you sit down and work out that the 14 grand you 've just pi$$ed up the wall on a diving weekend (without actually going diving) is mainly due to kit and training failures then you can see why they developed a "standard" for their teams to stick to. Makes perfect sense. Then they've developed it into a commercial enterprise to make some coin. Good for them. Many other teams have done the same but not gone down the commercial route. I'm sure if Kevin Gurr wanted to, he'd do a DIK system.

| PS- have just opened up my copy of the CDG manual and it's Top Banana. Much better than "The Fundamentals of Better Diving" to pluck a book at random. Buy it.
