| I recently got some new regs (second hand though) and need a pointer of how to set up the hoses for a twinset - they are ATX 100's. I have all the correct lengths of hose from my old ones and can simply swap them over, however my old ones are scubapro MK20 1st stages and so i have not a clue how they should be rigged to be compliant as the 1st stages dont have that nice port on the bottom of them Not that I'm DIR anymore you understand, its just the system seems to be far better at thinking about the way things should be than i ever will be

| Not sure what the 1st stages look like on those, but for my DS4s I have the environmental end cap on each facing in towards the isolator and then angled down so that the long hose and SPG hoses run nicely over the neck of the cylinder rather than being strained. See a post on t'other place: Apeks 1st stage for double rig? - Page 2 - DIR Explorers |

![]() Here's a page showing how 'Gorgeous George' used to configure his FST 1sts on a twinset... Irvine's Harness Assembly Images | Global Underwater Explorers Can't say I'm a big fan of having the 1sts pointing outwards as I think they might inhibit access to the valves. Not sure how else you'd do it, though, as the HP and LP ports would all be pointing in the wrong directions if you have the 1sts pointing inwards. ![]()

On shutdowns you can put your hands past the first stage to get to the valves although not ideal. If you invert the first stages and swap them to the other posts (I tried it) then there is not enough room in between the first stages to get your head back into a heads up position. I was considering putting the first stages into a standard up position but I do think the hose routing will be wonky. Cheers for the Images Bardo.

| Hmmm, this could be fun and games. Suspect i will be glad of having small hands and flexible wrists for shutdowns
