Well we will be having a laugh off of Dover tomorrow as i try to convert a Cave 1 and Puddle 1 diver to Stroke 1 standards

Hmm i've been thinking about some of the stuff i was looking at last time on this wreck and we may go into a Spidge 1 course

We have just had a thread from Garf about the DIR forum and whether it should continue where the general consensus was that having the DIR forum meant all the DIR discussion was kept in one place.

So why is it that a thread, in that forum, has umpteen critical replies from non-DIRers and openly anti DIRers criticising a new and enthusiastic, if somewhat naive, diver?

I just don't get it............................

That said he is an excellent and incredibly enthusiastic diver who's 19 years old.

Sometimes it's very hard to judge the right tone, understand the history and find a way of fitting in here.

I can get away with saying some outrageous things simply because I now know and like most of the people who are reading what I write and having met me - they know I care about YDers and I'm a sarcy b*stard

It's hard for Ben to see why he can't get away with something similar - until he's figured out the lie of the land.

In the meantime it would be good if people would just.............................................. .................................................. .................................................c ontinue to give him a right roasting - no reason why he should get off lightly - I never did
