| Imported post Why is a buddy wing in the strokes gallery? Surely it's an unbungeed wing, suitable for singles and reasonable sized twins? You might need to change the inflator nipple for a standard one, but basically I see my wing as one of the most conformist of my bits of kit, and now you're telling me it's not. I think I'm going to cry. |

| Imported post Mainly for the features that I removed when I got it - the plastic backplate, the plastic buckles, the pull-dump corrugated hose, the AutoAir, the side D-rings... It doesn't say whether it's still Stroke gear if you remove all those things. I suspect it still is tho. Maybe if I sew on a Halcyon badge..? Anyway.. it looks like nobody knows why some wings are donuts and some horseshoe shaped. Never mind

| Imported post The Buddy wing also has quite a "square" construction, so will not wrap around your tanks properly. The profile of Halcyon, some Dive Rite and the OxyCheq wings allows them to mould themselves to the tanks. It would be good if AP made a decently shaped wing without any crap like D-Rings all over it. Their kit has always been well made and pretty bombproof, even if poorly designed.

| Imported post You can take the D-rings off in about 2 seconds with a knife. I can understand all the ABS plate malarkey, I meant used with an S/S plate. I think AP should make a bigger wing, similar to the TekWing, suitable for bigger sets etc. I'd certainly have one off them, and then they could compete with the OMS and CD big wings, as well as the Halcyon twins wings. If only AP valves had given me that year in industry. So many ideas, wasted. |
