Thumbs up

Ah, the lights come on (no pun intended)

Thanks a lot, I have a spare knife so I'll add it to the rig.
I think I'm gradually being assimilated into the collective, I bought a manifold with barrelled o-rings and lost the bungees off the wing a while back but I am attempting to resist - I think the purple drysuit my impinge rule #6.

Thanks again,

Noel.

Hi

Just a quick follow up on this. There are a number of wings available nowadays and not all of them are suited to run the hose at the back.

The evolve from Halcyon is better when you run the hose down the front of the wing, as the wing is longer and with a shorter canister, or knife, you will find that the hose won't necessarily stay in place. Same with the pioneer wing.

The explorers (40lb and 55lb), and any of the explorer type wings like the Agir ones, will run the hose fine down the back as described.

Andy

Hi,

I originally ran the long hose down the front of my Evolve but in doing so trapped the top of the wing between the long hose and the wing inflator hose. This stops the wing from working properly as it can't inflate as it's designed to do.

I now run the long hose behind the wing and bring it out about level with where it fits under the light cannister. It does not work properly if you run it down the full length of the wing as Andy has pointed out.

You run into similar wing trapping trouble when routing the HP hose with Evolve wings. I am also routing this behind the wing to about half way down the wing then bring it over to clip it off (if that makes sense). The wing works very nicely when rigged like this.

The Evolve wings are a fair bit taller than the Explorers and what worked perfectly with one design cannot be applied to the newer wings (unfortunately!)

Regards,

Mark.
