I read more about diving than I actually dive [ no tengo dinero ] All the comments within this thread have missed one point...A 'DIR' diver only dives with 'DIR' divers...so in theory, the question would never exist?

Don't worry Bren. Adrian's wrong as well. It's actually Aran(1XR). It's not and island in the Clyde, it's an island off Ireland and there isn't AFAIK and distilliries on it.

I was confused for a while there Peter. No Arran ? ? ?

Then I worked it out - Aran jumpers being named after an Irish island, not the similar sounding Scottish one. Another thing learnt.

Although I am sure they have their own distillery, legal or otherwise
