Got it in one My alu backplate is much tighter, as it's for wetsuit use.

That's a very old photo tho, of my first harness - it was appallingly badly set up I have an attractive yellow harness nowadays

Of course if you are strict about always having your light head either on your hand or clipped off with a robust, positive clip, then you will always have a second point of attachment as backup.
