It's the real ales that prevent me from losing any weight and all the customers who insist on buying me a pint after diving

He is right actually, you can't adjust the harness whilst wearing it and with thick gloves. The 4 out of 10 mark is for the reviewers performance isn't it? C'mon what did you expect? It is Dive Mag, where BSAC, Beards, and Buddy BC's rule Keep DIR as DIR, its a whole package, not just a wing and harness. I don't know what came over UE to send them one for review Andy |

| Imported post The review has been slated on the BSAC forum as well, for those of you who don't visit it. I'm amazed that BSAC aren't insisting on Dive bucking its ideas up - practically everyone admits it's substandard.

| Imported post I must admit for a UK diving magazine they seem to clear off a lot, there aren't always a great deal of UK articles. As for the Eclipse, I love mine. But I agree with Bob, without the relevant training it could be more than a little awkward. However it is extremely well made, one of the best quality pieces of dive kit I own, which justifies the price (I think!) Cheers, Fraser. |

| Imported post Even if the price isn't justified it's more justified than the price of the women's BC they review - £459!!!! r

| Imported post I have an interest in the concepts of DIR but don't subscribe to the whole deal so I won't be nailing my colours to their flagpole. I have the fundamentals book and think it is pretty good and worth a look by any diver. I do subscribe to the long hose and my kit is configured that way. Getting back on thread I have read JB's review of the Eclipse in Diver and I would say it is fair and informative. Can't comment on the BSAC mag article as I rarely buy it. This wing is reduced at dirdirect.com at the moment if anyone is tempted! Jim
