| Don't mean to sound flipant - however, Have you done a proper weight check and reduced you lead to the correct level? and - have you practiced boyancy regularly? and - is your profile and swimming technique horizontal and "floaty" without having to "cycle" to stay in one place? Basic stuff but you would be amazed the no. of people who either don't bother or just forgot. James

| Imported post Just to second the weightcheck, 1kg of lead wrong has the capacity to make me use 25 bar more than the wife for a dive, the correct weighting lets me use 25 bar less than the wife for the same dive. Simon A |

| Imported post louigi, i was the same,untill i met a crowd from the uk diving in the red sea.the chaps name i think was neill,anyway he suggested humming a tune whilst diving! i though he was taking the piss but i tried it anyway and sure enought it worked (for me). so pick a favourite tune and breath in/out with the line you repeat over and over. suck it and see. barrie nb cheers neill!!

| Imported post Lougi mate, forget about air consumption just enjoy the dive, it will improve but so what if it doesn't. This only becomes an issue if your diving deeper.
