It's the most important rule.

Rule #6 is - Always look cool...!

Chris
what is cool? have you seen the television advert where the Frenchman trys too define cool? I think it is something which may be very different things to very many people.

DIR divers do look cool because they nearly always wear black, and black is always cool, but I think when they cannot
wear black they lose their cool?
I have been searching Google for GUE and found this strange image at a GUE site  http://diverdiver.4t.com/
Can someone explain please? Is this an advanced technique one learns on GUE courses?

That is just so shoddy.

I mean if these guys are going to attempt to take the piss they could at least make an effort.

Is DIR cool?  Well I think it is fine as a baseline to be modified to suit

<font color='#000080'>Well, all I can say is, the GU3 character in this one is going to have fun with his backup in the event of donating his primary, as it'll be upside-down!

JJ's lobng hose is all over the place, and he seems to have a reel and SMB on his side.

Not very DIR at all. I suppose we've all got to start somewhere, eh?

<font color='#000080'>There's computers on both of their wrists, they're wearing BCDs, and shouldn't those slates be on the arm? Do we have a verdict?

Just a minute. Look at the photo again. It's a mirror-image! The guy was diving solo! Madness! WHo would really go this far, like changing the colour on the 2nd stages. I only spotted it when I saw the nice left-handed Apeks reg he'd got!

Looks like something a modern day Magritte would come up with, but maybe that's just me...

You know it's strange how I keep reading that to be DIR you have to wear black and yet every picture I see of the cutting edge DIR boys i.e. the likes of JJ (he wears red and he wears blue infact the only time I've seen JJ in black was in a wetsuit)

Irvine, he wears red and he also wears a blue suit, actually most of the time you see Irvine he's semi naked (shudder) but we won't talk about that....

Mike Kane one of the GUE instructors was recently seen wandering around Capernwray sporting a dashing.. erm.. blue drysuit... And if you were to go to the EKPP website (The European version of the WKPP) you'd see that the record breaking Mr Reinhard and many of his excellent team are wearing red or blue drysuits, infact it appears that black is in the minority in most of these cases.

You see I think it's cos these guys are really confidant about their coolness cos there really 'are' cool and don't feel the need to wear black, whereas we wannabees, well we need the black to help us feel cool, a little like having to drive a large car if you have a small willy... waddya think....
