Imported post Hi Fraser My mate sat his fundy class at Capernwray in November, unfortunately he also only got a provisional pass, when I asked him what he needed to work on he said "just about everything" so I'm trying to get him into the water to practise those skills that he needs but his job has him travelling all over the bloody world and so it's been a bit hard to get anything organised, he's actually in Norway at the moment but will be back next week. Once he has his skills nailed he'll be off to see Andy Kerslake for hopefully the full ticket. Where abouts in the UK are you? You'll be suprised how many DIR guys there are spread about the UK now and I'm sure we could link you up with someone to help you practise your required skills. PM me if you want and I'll give you my phone number and we'll see if we can get something arranged. HTH Dave

Imported post Hi guys, I think as per Dave's mate I needed to polish everything - I was at Capernwray too although it was December so probably the Fundamentals class after his. Mike Kane and Andrew Georgitsis were pretty tough and everyone in the class only scored a provisional. We were told to polish things up and then try for the full pass. Dave, what was your friend's name? Just wondering if I met him at Capernwray... thanks for the offer of assistance too but I have a couple of friends fairly locally that have already passed DIR-F and they will be able to run through the skills with me. I was just looking to hook up with someone to do the "resit" with. Will your mate be coming to Portland to Andy K? Cheers, Fraser.

Imported post Fraser I'm sure you'll have met Dave Dowson he was in your class, you may even have buddied with him. Dave was supposed to have been on the class with me but work commitments forced him to take the class the week after which is the one you were on. I was supposed to be back on that same Monday doing the Rec Triox class with AndyG while you boys were doing the fundy with Mike Kane but things didn't work out for me and so I missed it PM me your phone number or email address and when Dave gets back from Norway I'll tell him to contact you. Dave and I have just recently discussed how he was going to go about getting his pass and I'd suggested that I'd go down to Portland and buddy him while Andy marked him off but if he can meet up with you to do the re-sit then all the better. Catch ya later Dave.

Imported post Thanks Dave, I've PM'd you. Fraser.

Imported post Hi Guys, We are planning to run some "re-sits" here at Capernwray with Andy K. If you let me know would suit-I can get on and organise some dates. Up to you.... All the best Adam

Imported post Hi Adam! Hope you are well. I'm hopefully meeting up with some DIR buddies for a dive shortly and if their feedback is positive I'd be quite keen to do something like this... I can do pretty much anytime after February. Cheers, Fraser.
