Imported post <font color='#000080'>I'd heard the Agir stuff was good Halcyon copies. Can't see any reason why not, but then I'm not a DIR god. I just say what I see. That little bit of extra lift for the twin 12s won't go amiss. I'd say 40lbs is a bit marginal. In fact, a lot marginal. I used my 22kg (about 45lbs) wing with twin 12s this week and it was just about enough. I wouldn't be comfortable with a less than 20kg wing.

Imported post Hi Mr Dude. I have the Agir SS bands and they're excellent. Don't know about the manifold. I suggest you call Runnymede dive and ask them if they have one on display. Otherwise call Agir and he will probably be happy to send you one for evaluation. www.agir-brokk.com HTH

Imported post <font color='#000080'>Just seen an Agir manifold (Woz has just taken delivery of one) and I'm impressed. Very very reasnable prices for a nice-looking bit of kit, the bands are of comparable quality to Highland Millwork ones, all round good kit IMO. It'll go for its sea-trial sometime soon, I want to try it now!!! PM Woz, I'm sure he'd be happy to answer any questions.

Imported post <font color='#000080'>Woz paid significantly less than those prices though. They will deal direct by the sounds of things. He's probably too busy knocking up more of those spring straps. I've just done mine. I think a report is in order. Only one minor injury to my finger by bring silly. That's got to be the least damage I've ever done to myself with DIYish gear.

Imported post Thanks for the feedback gents. I'm going to make my way over to Runnymede Dive and have a good look about I think. If I end up getting the Agir bits I'll make sure to post my thoughts. Cheers, Fraser.

| Imported post <font color='#000080'>Manifold and bands are nicely made and go together pretty easily. The bands are much wider than normal- 2.5" so hold the cyls very firmly. Takes a little fiddling to get it set perfectly so when the bands are tight excessive pressure is not placed on the manifold but the local very nice man at divequip (www.divequip.co.uk) showed me exactly how to do it. Very much worth knowing as he showed me a set that had been put together by someone themselves and it was, quite frankly, frightening. I believe the valves are identical to the ones made for Scubapro, with the double barrel O rings rather than face seals. Agir make the centre section themselves and do a nice job of it, too. Comes in O2 clean with green O rings. If you deal direct, the people at Agir are very helpful, especially Thor. You can also save the VAT if you purchase through a company (if you can). Shipping all the way from Sweden was cheaper than from GoDive 5 miles away in Derby (only 13 quid).
