<font color='#FF0000'>Trying to get my hands on a Pioneer 27, for warm water diving at Easter and UE don't/can't sell them anymore.Anyone know were I can get one, without using the USA. All I am after is the wing, not the Harness or the Backplate,

none of the halcyon dealers in the UK have pioneers left in stock, so you will have to go abroad (US), or buy one off ebay if you can find one or buy another equally good make, e.g. Agir-brokk

Have fun looking..

Hi Chardy...if you don´t have any luck with the above wing, try this place in Spain...A Pioneer is about 160 sterling 233€

http://www.afotos.net/servisu....logID=6

Their called Servisub in Barcelona...If you e-mail, it´servisub@servisub.com If you ask for Eva, she speaks English.

By the way I've just received a brand new single tank wing from AGIR. It's approx 36-37lb and built like a brick outhouse. Same bladder/outer construction as my Halcyon 55lb doubles wing. They're also good value for money at around £160-170 depending on the exchange rate. Haven't tried it in earnest yet (will be a while before I do, in July) but the construction quality is very good and it has two sets of eyelets to adjust the wing up/down the BP.

The corugated inflation hose is very short as I like it. Only small niggle is that the inflator is held in place by two tie clips, so I may eventually replace that by a screwed j-clip or similar.

Hi Frogkick,

I'm looking at the Agir 47lb wing as I'm building a twinset. Have you had the chance to look at the bigger wing?

How does it compare to the 40lb Halcyon?

Cheers,

Fraser.

Fraser, although I dive a halcyon 55 with my twinset, I've had a brief look at an Agir wing on display at Runnymede dive in Egham/Surrey. It looked well put together, but not having used it can't comment. If you are anywhere near Egham I'd pop into Runnymede dive, or call Agir and ask Tord if any of his stuff will be on display at LIDS in a couple of weeks.
