What!!!! I was 62% how did I manage that? If I dive only on 62% of the week would I be 100% DIR diving?

Ah ha! but if you think you can be X% DIR then you're not DIR because it's an all or nothing concept, so whover wrote the test obviously doesn't understand DIR

If you didn't get 100% then your not DIR orientated (kit wise), your x% "S-word"

I know it's only a bit of fun, but no wonder the DIR lads haven't reply'd.

Is this not the type of things that knocks us all further apart?

Shouldn't do, last time it was on here everyone joined in and there were no obvious signs of any raised hackles, besides I was under the impression it had been created by someone who was DIR theirselves, or at least aspired to be so.
But what would I know, I'm a card-carrying stroke

Being fair - it is just humour....

I am 55% DIR and 45% stroke. I don't know what that means. I guessed the answers cos I didn't know what any of it was about to be honest!

As far as i can gather DIR is a set way of diving, looking at the sport in a more holistic way. You should be eating right and training etc. There are things that we all have and do that are frowned upon by DIR divers as they are "wrong" - things like hose protectors for example. They can trap gunge underneath and stop you looking at the condition of your hoses, but if the manufacturers thought they were such a bad idea why put them on in the first place?
