Hmmm, with the newer style light cans, I'd have thought you could fit it there, using a webbing mount/bungee loop plate mount.

That's obviously not going to be the DIR way to do it. I guess you could use a really long dry suit inflator hose and route it up and over or some other BS but that is also not going to be DIR.
True enough, but if the argon were to sit on a plate mount that wouldnt be an option. Granted its not DIR, but then neither were Apeks regs until his holy Georgeness had an overnight change of mind

Back to the original point, the easiest way with a 1.5L is tank mounted on the left, as mark said earlier. Im just one of these pain in the ass divers who's always looking to improve things

Wink

I'll try it on the left cylinder with all three stages next weekend and see how I get on!.....Three stages, a pressure guage, a dump valve and now a argon first stage.... I can feel myself cursing already

Cave style is a Cylinder (usually 1.5-2l) mounted on the cylinders.

Wreck style is a smaller cylinder mounted on the left hand side in a similar way to the light cannister. The loop is big enough to go over the d-ring.

Both should be removable underwater.

Hi

Cave style is a larger cylinder 14cf which is about 2.4 ltrs strapped to the side of your twins. Cavers use moe argon as the profile is usually more sawtooth

Wreck style is referring to either of two methods;

A small bottle mounted on the LHS waist strap and then bungeed to the backplate to keep in place.

or

A small bottle fastened to the LHS of the backplate and then a bit of bungee at the bottom of the plate keeps it in place

Either way works equally well. I use the Backplate idea and Mark, my buddy wears his on the waist strap. We do use the small 6cf cylinders though, which are only about 1 litre or so.

Kindest Regards

Andy
