Could a person without the use of their legs become an instructor, i know they could dive, but would they be able to control a group.

I'm sure I read recently of a paraplegic diver becoming an instructor, I'll try and remember where I saw the article.

Fraser Bathgate became the world's first scuba diving instructor to qualify from a wheelchair. Now he devotes himself to helping disabled youngsters around the world learn to dive. Fraser, of Edinburgh, said: "I thought I'd never move freely again but scuba diving let me rediscover everything I lost. "If you're confined to a wheelchair, it is the only way you can enjoy the kind of freedom paralysed people never normally have. It becomes even more interesting, Frase Bathgate is now the first paraplegic Course director. Last August Fraser completed his training to become an Instructor Course Director for the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI).

Here is also another paraplegic instructor in Greece.....
He is an IAHD Pro Trainer, PADI IDC Stuff Instructor & recently become an ANDI SafeAir Technical Instructor, too....!

Actually he is the manager of IAHD's RHQ...
