Question Southern Red Sea liveaboard - Suggestions?
Greetings!

Am looking into Southern Red Sea liveaboard for Aug/Sept this year. Has anyone got any advice on who to look at or, who not to look at?

I've recently booked my first liveaboard with Regaldive. www.regaldive.co.uk
Its a southern Red Sea trip round the marine parks, flying Gatwick to Marsa Alam, in July. They were very helpful on the phone. I decided it was better to book now than wait for LIDS, but they still had spaces left.

i m doing a southern red sea liveaboard in july with a group, we are going through regal travel, who go through emperor divers. went with them last october and they are awesome. hope this helps

Would like to get wreck and reef/fish in, if possible. I am adv nitrox, and so is my bud, but don't really want to get into twinning up on my first liveaboard! So, probably just keep to 30-40m max, dependant on redundancy eqpt!!

Does this narrow down the field a little?

By the way thanks for the other responses re Regal.

I'm booked with www.redseadivers.com (0870 4430311 / 01334 656577) on the 1st Sept on the Grand Sea Serpent (new boat, haven't heard much about it yet) on a southern route, Brothers and Elphinstone. It's a bit pricey at £950pp but it's (hopefully) a decent boat and being on a southern route bumps the cost up as well.


I can't wait as it's my first livaboard as well!

I'm off on the 7th on the MY Fraser (Emperor Fraser). Looks like I step off and you step on. Taking my son Devil Crab with me. Its the first time in the Red Sea for us both so greatly looking forward to it.
