We went in October for a long weekend in the sound of Mull and had a great time. The boat is fab and the food is incredible. Steve W did St Kilda earlier this year and had a great time there too.

My trip report is here and there a few comments about the boat from other people too.

Outstanding in every respect, Skipper, facilities, and the food....

Quote from my Swiss cave diving buddy which didn't make it into the article "The Hjalmar Bjorge, the floating restaurant which you can dive from". Evening meal is a wine and candles affair, a touch more "class" than you'd expect from a UK livaboard. (unlike some other livaboards there's a strict "no porn videos allowed")

Are you going to St Kilda on th HJ? If so all the info you need is in the article

Our Club have used the boat several times. We normally go in October/Nov and have 4 days diving. It is without doubt one of the best (if not THE best) liveaboards in the UK. The standards is fabulous. The food is of better quality than most hotels. It is all hand cooked, they even bake their own bread, make their own soup etc. I have not been on every liveaboard but its the best I personally have been on. Once you yave been on it, you become more critical of the others.

We book the boat at the end of the dive trip for the following year irrespective of who signs up. It is never a trip we have problems with, trying to fill places.

We normally do the sound of mull stuff (Hispania,Thesis,Rondo, Shuna and Rondo) which although not too adventorous, is still very good. Next year we are extending and extra day and going to Skye.
Tapti is very good if you get the chance.

There are a few pictures on our club website. (Below)

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."

Time to dive.

Is this something to do with the viewing of the ships "technical Library" on the mediator when you joined us in Mull?
