The boat did have a diver lift though.

I last dived with Sovereign Divers about 5 years ago and had been diving with them many times over the previous years. I assume from what I read, things have gone down hill since Ian died. He always provided tea or coffee after a dive and on one occasion he even went back to base to top up my twin set without extra cost to me!

Ailsa was always a bit sharp but she let the Club use her kitchen several times to air our under suits and when we had take aways. I never really knew Andy nor Toby (the present skippers).

Notwithstanding the present problem of a diver having his leg amputated after an incident with one of their boats, it does make me think twice about organising any trips with them though.

With a similar history to Billy Shiel. It's interesting how many of the previous anti-diver brigade have gone over to running dive trips themselves.

Hm.

Poor old Sovereign, you don't take prisoners you lot, I'm glad I always take my own boat, and am self reliant, anyway I couldn't do with diving the St Andre tourist type stuff.
There are some terrific dives there, but you have to get away from the party boats. And yes not all the dives are down to the plug hole, try turning right out of Seahouses, go past the Somalia there is another world, a few miles further South!.

With Portholes.

Good skippers get heaps of praise, is it not also fair that not so good, be they shops, skippers or whatever also have their negative points raised.
Obviously its all personal opinion on the day.

Aye, I agree with you, so long as there is a dive shop in Seahouses to fill up my o2 in my YBOD it all goes over my head, as far as I no Sovereign are the only ones that do, unless somebody No's different?.

Hi Guys,

Well spoken Allan, it's not many years ago that Jonathan Dawson was totally anti-diver, along with one or two more skippers. I could write a book about some of the things that used to happen with the trip boats at Seahouses, including Jonathan Dawson; lots of witnesses too.

How things change where money is concerned. Give your business to the people who show respect to divers and not just for money they can make out of them.

Cheers Ron
