dive boats brighton and surrondings

We're looking at diving somewhere further 'up' the south coast from our usual swanage, portland, plymouth etc. Brighton looks like a possible, but we know litterally nothing about boats from around the area.

So, we're looking for recomendations, ones to avoid etc. Also, suggestions for the local 'must sees' in terms of wrecks etc. Usual sport diving depths, and just to make it complicated, we may not be able to fill a boat completely, so 'per person, per day' might be good - probably talking about 6 people min.

So far, google returns 'girl grey' and 'brighton diver', but don't know much about them.

cheers

Oh, and I misspelt the title - arse!

I can thoroughly recommend Steve - Nauticat from Brighton.

Is Eastbourne too far along the coast?

Thumbs up Nauticat

Steve on Nauticat is another great skipper out of Brighton, he also sometimes leaves from Eastbourne. His trips tend to fill up fast, but he will take bookings from individuals midweek.

Dave & Sylv on Dive 125 leave from Eastbourne, I know Janos organised a trip of individuals with him.

There are lots of great dives out of Brighton/Eastbourne,you will have fun! There will almost always be people happy to fill your spaces too!

in Brighton both Channel Diver (Nauticat Steve's new cat) and Brighton Diver are excellent skippers

Steve gets booked well in advance; Paul Dyer (Brighton Diver) is happy to arrange partial charters

Others to check are the big cats Spartacat and SeaBreeze

My club has 6 spaces on a trip on Channel Diver doing the Pentyrch (22m) on Sat 17th March if thats suits you or others

Spartacat is a great boat. Skipper is called Tim, the boat has so much room covered and uncovered, lift, a proper walk in toilet on deck, 2 exit points on the rear. and good benches with plenty of securing places

Does trips per person per 2 dives as well as full charter, I have been out with just 2

Diving & Angling from 'Spartacat' of Brighton Marina

I dive on Brighton Diver from time to time...Skipper Paul Dyer....in fact I'm booked on this Saturday for two dives onto his new catamaran! You don't usually reurn between dives for re-fills, so it is advisable t take second fills with you.
