One night spent at burray harbour, the others nights were all moored up in stromness.

We had a boat full of blokes who don't need the extra creature comfort that the ladies like - like a huge wardrobe, most of us lived in undersuits for the week (phew ). I also enjoy the slight rocking of the boat at night, puts me right to sleep.

Went last Sept, dived with Bob, who (seems) a great skipper, and a good laugh Can't comment on anyone else's boats as I haven't used them
I went with Bob a few years ago and we had a good week. I am trying to basically get some more info, new boats for someone else who is gong to organise.

Hazel's boat is great- bunks are big, so are the cabins. The best 2 cabins are the ones nearest the stern in fact the one on the starboard side has a bottom bunk that's almost a double.

Plus you can have a dump with the door open and watch Scapa go past. It's very relaxing and encourages healthy motions.

And within 2 minutes of getting on board I had already disgraced myself by mooning at a lesbian.

Think I prefer being locked up in a bank vault or something similar.

Thanks

My vote's for Bob Anderson and MV Halton. Twice happy customer, going again in September. No doubt he'll be recommending himself later, illustrating his dry (and entertaining) sense of humour. That said, most peeps here seem happy enough with the rest too.

Recently got back from a trip diving off the John L, fantastic boat with loads of room, an on board drying room and on boat blending. The accomodation was great too, a BnB stylee affair in Stromness too, comfy beds and a good breakfast cooked for you in the morning. The skipper, James, is happy to dive whatever people want to do inc. blockships and other stuff. Would happily dive with them again.

Hope this helps,

Ben.

I can recommend John L as well. Lots of room, great skipper and good accomodation.
