Alastair was out with them last week, says the guys boat would never take the 12 it is licenced for and they missed the wreck first dive but the guy was friendly and keen enough.
Just moved up from Scarborough way.

Dived with Malcolm at the end of november, nice bloke, very keen. He needs a bit more experience with the area and with diving groups (he anchored off one wreck and made us do a 50m surface swim after a 40m dive - with 20mins deco) but as he on only just starting out it is forgiveable. Boat is a good platform, quite rocky in a swell, entry very nice, ladder doesn't go deep enough for exit. I do agree with the comment about numbers, it is much better suited to 10 divers esp if on CCR/larger twins.

The B and B they recommend (Southcliffe) is top notch.

Certainly planning to head up there during the summer (PhD thesis allowing!!).

Paul

yes, I agree with all the above. I think we had 8 of us ,all with twinsets and it was comfy enough. The B and B is excellent.
I liked the port Tarbert, like Tobermoray but less twee and touristy.
