| Try Lemsip in powder form, it works for me when I feel the lurgy coming on. Other advice, though maybe too late, I get the flu-jab every year, it doesn't stop you feeling rough but avoids the symptoms that traditionally stop you diving. Wrap up warm and get some sleep. I hope you get better. Cheers Dave Cooper |

| Vitamin C and lots of it. Ecinacea (spelling?) and zinc too. BTW anyone know of a hangover cure? I cant even keep water down.

| Medical advice off internet?! Madness... I had the same recently. I used paracetamol, decongestant and anti-histamine, Boots own brands. You can buy them all together - they cost twice as much and have "cold cure" written on the box somewhere... Oooh - and Vics Nasal Spray - EXCELLENT stuff, but don't use it for weeks on end. This was the best for instant relief. Caveat - this worked for me. If you get reverse ear, best of British... |

For a cold, lots of Vit C. I tried breathing a higher O2 % as well, not sure if it worked, but I recovered quite quickly to be well enough to dive dan |

| Vitamin C, Zinc (!), and most importantly, rest! The more time your body has to focus on healing itself, the faster it will happen. I usually find that after a couple of very early nights, by body starts to get it's strength back. And some Vicks under the nose as you go to sleep helps clear your nasal passage so you can breathe and get a good night's sleep. Hope you get better soon.

| At least it wasn't just a cold I gave you for christmas! Fortunately I'm getting over my massive dose of man flu. I'll be in trouble in the morning when I get home from work for this one.Last edited by Jon Tunstall : 01-01-05 at 11:27 PM. |

| Try swimming in a chlorinated pool. It sounds disgusting, but the bleach really clears out your nostrils and sinus ducts. Gets rid of congestion fast.
