Back from the PFO test. Not Good

Well back from having the "contrast" PFO test done in London, the conclusion from the Doctor was he was unable to confirm whether a hole was present or not, he wants to try another test where they inject another "solution" rather than saline ( shaken not stirred ) which would show up better on the scan, bet I'm going to have a lovely bruise on my left hand in the morning.

Explained I was self-funding this myself and there was a point where I wouldn't be able to pay much more, the doctor was going to see if there was a way of reducing the cost of the next investigation, and get back to me.

So another day and another load of money wasted ( in my opinion ), so I have several bottles of beer going in the fridge, getting wasted tonight, sleep it off and make a decision in the morning.

Sorry to hear that Andy, cheaper option probably means no pain killers, couldnt spell ana, anna, oh that gassy stuff that makes you fall asleep.

Is it worth it, you said earlier that if they find a hole you're not up for a patch and the diving would have to go, so maybe the extra cost to have it confirmed isnt going to be worth it anyway. Cut your losses and pack it in now? I know how difficult that must be so every sympathy mate, I'd hate to be told 'no more diving'.

Anyway back to the PFO test.....

They are using some new machine on loan to do the test, theres a couple of sales reppy blokes showing the operator and doctor the bells and whistles, another doctor barges into the room wanting to have a go on the machine....

did say if this machine came up with a blue screen I wanted out of there...

and why did they all keep calling me sir ? gave up saying my name was andy....

Walk down a busy High Street, place ya hand over ya , drop onto ya knees screaming ,,,
Some young 16 year old dolly bird working in a shop will dial 999 and ya get carted off to the hospital with a suspect heart attack. This is when they will tell you if you have a hole or not..

it's a proven and tested method , trust me
