NiQuitin patches and diving ?

Maybe a dumb question but....................

Is there any contra indication to wearing patches whilst diving ?

Was thinking about this and wondered if they pump more nicotine into you if subject to pressure? Obviously if they do then this might not be good.

Any ideas or articles anywhere ?

Exclamation Don't Do It!!

I once had a student do this, and not tell me - the pressure will cause a massive release of Nicotine and probably make you rather ill...

I thought that might be the case, but couldn;t get my brain round how they worked and the effect of the pressure.

Thx both

Now I don't for a second suggest that anyone follow this advice, but personally I have dived with them and never noticed a problem.

Then again, I smoke that bloody much that chewing them wouldn't give me a buzz.

I find that they are more successful if I stick them over my eyes so I can't find my fags
