| Thanks for posting Adrian, although not really sure if this is SOS pressure products (Ron Glossop) which were based in Manchester and moved to Flint. It is was my old club had an SOS O2 kit. I will phone them tomorrow and confirm if it is them or not. |

| BSAC should be getting this information and passing it on to clubs - we just voted to purchase a second-hand o2 set in our club last night - we will obviously need to do a bit more digging on the background now! Off to email BSAC...! |

Should BSAC (whoever that is) be constantly scanning the web etc? I just don't see how to make this possible. There are far too many agencies involved, what others may be relevant that we have never heard of? It is easier to argue that the agency should know the organisations that use emergency O2. Adrian

| I have just phoned the company I know as SOS products, this company as I previously mentioned traded in Manchester (Ron Glossop) they moved to Flint some time ago, this must have been when the company went in to liquidation and has since had a change of Directorship in October 2003. I have just been informed that this problem has been identified by their Technical Director and she was surprised I had only just become aware of it. What you need to do if you have one of these kits is contact SOS products and they will check it out, if it is OK they will refill and get it back to you, if not they will advise you what you need to do. I have just told her that there seems to be a lot of O2 kits on Ebay at the moment I almost bid for one the other day, DO NOT buy one from eBay, unless you know it is OK. My old club had one of these kits and I will contact them about this. My advise is get them to check it before anyone uses it. SOS products contact number is 01352 736050 |

| Adrian, sorry, I wasn't clear enough - BSAC should be provided this info by the agency, so they can then pass it on - wasn't being critical of BSAC! |

| Cheers to Adrian and Fiona for digging out details on this. I've forwarded them to the Yorks Regional Coach, so the notice should make its way around at least the Yorks BSAC branches soonest. Regards Anke

Presumably the normal Dive Kit with seperate Regulator is NOT affected by this problem. All very confusing. Gary |
