| I was told it was easy to pass Then last tear I failed and had to rethink my diet to get my blood pressure down They run ECG sight hearing and excercise for 5 minutes. It's not that bad and my BP was rather excessive about 180/120! Fin Hopefully I'm keeping it under control as mine runs out in 10 days and I need to produce it at my IE in 11 days(typical timing!)! |

| The main sections on the medical are; - Height/Weight/BMI - Respiratory function - Cardiovascular system - pulse before/after exercise, ECG - Exercise testing - Mine was step up for 5 mins at 72 steps/minute. - Reflexes - Audiogram (hearing) test - Sight test - Urine sample All in all it will take about an hour.

Do step-ups about two seconds per. Keep this up for 5 minutes. Not dead? Well not quite? I get worked on this knee high instrument of torture to renew my UKSDM. I assume if that doesn't give me a heart attack he expects I'll go another year. |

| 18" step? F*ck me, I'm going to need crampons, rope and a pick axe to deal with that. |
| ||||
| Don't know where you will do your HSE....but the e-Med Doc wanted 80 reps of the 18" step.....1 rep is left foot up, right foot up....left foot down.....right foot down!.....It is quite hard! Rgrds Mal |

My advice, swap lead leg regularly. Mary |

Oh yeh, forgot, some docs will do the test using a cycle if you can find one. |

| Yeah the step is high if you are a short arse like me... it really was knee high!! But I am quite a lot shorter than your average person. Having said that, I got into a rhythm and was fine... I was more nervous because I'd heard that the medical involved a blood test which had apparently by then been removed from the series of tests... thank GOD! I hate needles! |
