ASD(pfo)closed-Finally!!

For anyone interested, just to let you know i was given the full all clear last week by Mr whilmshurst to resume diving,no restrictions. This has put an end to the most depressing 19 months of my life i can tell you.Ive been on a bit of a downer since my first leak check after the op last november when there was still a sizeable hole and well, now its completely sealed.I cant say how much respect i have for those surgeons and also peter whilmshurst(thanks guys,i know one of you comes on here). : So for any other 'holey' people out there, there is light at the end of the tunnel....

Well 19 months is a hell of a long time to be out of the water. Take it easy and build up. there is plenty to see at 12 mtr

Gretta - PFO

Congratulations. I too have been out of the water for two years with a PFO and subsequent complications - i.e. first closure didn't work. Have written you and email and would love to chat to you about it if you have a mo. I agree that Dr. Wilmshurst is the tops. Dive safely, I know how you must be feeling to get back in the water!

Hi Chris,

so glad you have had a positive result I'm sure you won't have any bother finding folk to dive with but if you are stuck I would be happy to do some build up pottles with you

Safe diving,
Steve

Nice one

Hi Chris,
Good to hear that we now have another unbendable person on YDers. I sure there will be a few more soon.
I don't think I will be able to stop diving untill closure. If I'm limited to 6m I would still go. Sad eh
I'm just waiting to see PW myself. I have been in with this since June last year now
