DCI Symptoms

OK was diving today in Plymouth. My buddy has recently got home and phoned me saying that he has tiny bubbles on both hands. They are at the tip of each finger just below the nail, one finger is worse than the other with about 1 centimetre of very small bubbles.

We were diving at 2:25 for 23 minutes with a maximum depth of 12.5 metres, but 5 minutes into the dive we encountered a wierd current which pushed us both to the surface from 10 metres fairly quickly but we descended again and carried on with the dive.

Wot do you guys fink?
Maybe a skin bend???

Thanks

I think he should call the Royal Navy diving duty doctor on 07831 151523 and describe his symptoms.

Defintly go up to DDRC asap, dont worry about bothering them, they get loads of extra dosh for being on call- so really your making someone a bit richer!
Even if you dont have any noticble symptons, if your buddy has, then you might have too. Take your computer up too, so you can download your profile.
Even if its a really minor bend, its worth popping in the chamber to get yourself 'cleaned' then you know for sure your ok, rather than worrying on next dive, plus you might even get a free dry dive, save you booking on a club one!

Time of year, the guy who sold me my car was a winchman at Culdrose, he said that they could set their watches by the call to the Manacles on the Saturday afty after Good Friday.

Not saying anyone's doing anything wrong per se, it's just the after a winter layoff, we're not as dive fit as we were at the end of the season.

Remember the chamber might already be occupied. Best to make a phone call first and then you can be referred to the nearest available pot.
