Red face Bendy Wendy II, revenge of the bubble

Ok, so here is the second half of my tale of woe.

Ages ago i had problems with a numb cheek - went to the docs, they couldnt find any reason for it. Sunday i started to get a bit of tingling and numbness in the same area, and *hoped* it was the same thing. I managed to talk myself around that it was, and ignored it, even though Gizmo (greens for him please) told me to phone. Im good at denial.

Monday at work i really wasnt right. I put phone calls through to the wrong people. I pressed the wrong buttons on the phone. I forgot who was calling even though i had just spoken to them and if i had a bit to say, i couldnt get words out. My face was also pretty nicely numb - as if i had been to the dentist and the anaesthetic was almost worn off but not quite.
Soooo after a bit of debate with myself I called the chamber. They said to go to A&E asap and they would phone ahead so i wasnt stuck in the waiting room with snotty bleeding kids and people with splinters.
On arrival i was put on O2 and left to fester in a cubicle. After a while the doctor had spoken to the specialist and knew which tests to do. I had weakness down my left side, with decreased reflexes, i fell to the left when stood up straight with my eyes closed and some bugger kept on moving my nose cos i couldnt point to it when i closed my eyes.

It slowly dawned on me quite how confused i was and how clumsy i was when i dropped my phone three or four times and then couldnt remember why i had pulled it out of my bag. Oh dear.

The staff in the A&E were really surprised that i had to go to Hull, i guess this kind of thing is a bit rare up here.

3 hours later and after getting very lost in Hull we arrive at the chamber. I get examined again and he spends a lot of time getting me to follow his finger with my eyes (i couldnt read his writing so no idea why - guess that probably wasnt right either). Off to the chamber in some sexy pink scrubs this time. USN table 6, getting out at 0230 this morning.
I was re-potted this afternoon for a further 2 hours to 12m to be sure that i was debendied. During both sessions i got the strange rash on my arms (cow print pink/white blotches) - they have no idea why either .

Now i feel tired, still have a few problems if i have a lot to say when i cant get the words out right, but to be honest if that aint fixed now, it aint ever going to be.

Im out of the water for 6-8 weeks, and defo need a PFO test. Just when things cant get any worse, they do!

Well hopefully thats the end of it now, and that PFO test will prove negative (that is the way it needs to be, isn't it ?!)

If I was in your area, I'd come and give you a big hug, but I'm not so it will have to be virtual

Iccle Borgchop, things could be a whole lot worse mate, thankfully we still have you alive and kicking - good luck with the test and hopefully you'll be back in the water to enjoy the freezing temps again soon.

you need to change your location.

Does this mean you can't speak. What a result!

Glad your out the pot, and alive. Fancy having to go to Hull though. That's one of the only places in my mind that's worse than Bradford. Yuck.

The hospital is BUPA - very slinky. You know its good when you have a private room and there is a little thingy beside the phone with the number for room service (seriously!) ohhh yes. The chamber is pretty nice too - big leather reclining office type seats, the only bugger is you have to wear a bubble head mask which aint the most practical things to wear and also a bit pants sometimes when you want to read.
