Question First Defence - cure for man flu
There is a new product in the market place for man flu. Produced by Vicks it is a shove up the nose and spray affair.

Has anyone tried this product and was it effective at reducing the debilitating effects of man flu.

Special thanks to Pat at Swanage Boat Charters for suggesting this product earlier on today.

Thats the one they advertise with the woman having a proper kiddy strop in the supermarket rather than let her kid do it. Good ad, no idea about the product

It won't do much for a true case of 'flu. Of course, many folk who say they have flu do, in fact, have only a (heavy) common cold. There are a number of products which can provide some symptomatic relief from a heavy cold, this spray being one of them.

But i've not seen anything that can prevent the 2 or 3 days in bed that result from infection with a 'true flu' virus...

Well said Ahoy, I hate it when everyone at work has 1 or 2 days off with "flu". What a load of old obblocks...

Best cure for man flu is to go on the lash the night symptoms appear and drink massive amounts of whiskey.

Always works for me, gets rid of the man flu, leaving you to deal with a behemoth of a hangover without so much as a sniffle.
