Bloody hell Helen, I can't believe how Quick PW got in touch. How did you manage that?
When I was told my tapes would be sent to PW, I got in touch 2 months later to find out they hadn't even been copied, nevermind sent! I then spoke to PW 6 weeks later.
My GP put my case to the PCT 11 weeks ago. Still I hear nothing, I will have to start pestering again next week
I am really starting to get cheesed off now, the wait is a pain. But at least I'm still diving Abbs on Sunday

Good luck with the out come,

Ali

PFO 23 (nearly 24) months and counting

Well i can't say i'm surprised but i know it REALLY wasn't what you wanted.
However, if you have bubbles then seeing PW is absolutely the BEST option - he has written the book on these things in divers and he can give you absolutely the best advice as to what, where, how big, whether you can/should dive again, and how to go about it. He is a diver himself and knows how much you want to dive, plus has the most experience as to how to go about it safely.

Personally although it gave me problems to deal with mentally to find i had a hole in my heart, i felt that this at least gave me a reason for the bend and actually made it easier to get back in the water. I was very glad that i found it out before i had a stroke or clot too.

On a bright note PW doesn't generally use the endoscope - he prefers doing the echo through the chest or on your carotid arteries. Let him take a look before you decide it can't be fixed - he is the national expert in this.

Good luck with PW,
Thinking of you,
Helen

Could be worse Helen - you could have had that final bend!

Just waiting to see about my very own bubbly heart following some fantastic headaches and a bit of a scare earlier this year.

Looking forward to following your progress and maybe we could be super-divers somewhere in the future. Lots of info out there on the www of success stories and PFO - fingers crossed for you chick.
